Imagine being here...
That's home for me.
A little bit about me,
UX Designer .Origami enthusiast .Artist
Hi, I'm Ritu, a blend of three cities: the bustling streets of Bangalore, the cool coastal breezes of Mangalore and the vibrant spirits of Mumbai.

The two years at Indiana University have been both refreshing and challenging. I am proud to have achieved my academic goals, earning a 3.97 GPA, while also embracing various side quests that enriched my experience. From being recognized for my origami skills to exploring the vast field of accessibility, I have broadened my horizons.

My journey into accessibility began with my Architectural Thesis. This project introduced me to universal design, demonstrating how accessibility can be seamlessly integrated from the outset.

At Indiana University, I had the privilege of working on a Google and NSF-funded project, Keyflow in the User Simulation and Experience Research Lab. Alongside a talented team of designers, I helped design an aural, screenless keyboard for visually impaired users.
My work with IUI's LGBTQ+ center has been equally rewarding. Starting as a student ambassador promoting inclusivity, I'm now redesigning their website to enhance accessibility and ensure a welcoming digital presence.

As I look forward, I’m eager to apply my passion for design and accessibility in a role focused on UX/ product design.
(Hire Me) I’m excited about the opportunity to contribute to innovative projects and make a meaningful impact in this field.
While I wait for my next role,
Here are some fun facts about me that stand true as of 2025
PRESERVER OF THE UNICORN SCRIPT
I’m fluent in four languages: Tulu, English, Kannada, and Hindi. While I can read and write in the latter three, Tulu, the OG Dravidian language, has a script that's almost as rare as a unicorn—nearly extinct!
Side Quest No 1
One of my favorite pastimes is Origami—think of it as UX design for paper.
Just like in UX, it’s all about creativity, patience, and problem-solving. Every fold is a chance to master new techniques and tackle complex challenges, transforming a simple sheet of paper into something extraordinary. Origami teaches me to approach problems from different angles, much like designing intuitive user experiences.
Side Quest No 2
Accidentally became a local celebrity in the small city of Indianapolis.
Or at least that is what I tell people. I like to joke that my modeling career unofficially began during grad school at Indiana University, when I started popping up in IU’s Instagram posts, website banners, and pamphlets. My origami feature still holds the top spot, but being part of the Pride Parade in Indianapolis comes in as a very close second, both equally special in their own way. Beyond the humor, it feels like a little time capsule of a city and community I have grown really fond of.
